New Etsy Shop

I have to apologize for my absence but I have been busy, I now have an Etsy Shop... I have not figured out how to put the shop on my side bar yet. If any of you have any advice on that one I would appreciate any assistance or advice you can give me.
While my lovely daughter was home for Christmas she got me motivated and helped me build a light box, she photographed my work and did the initial set up of the shop. I am so happy she got me going. I don't know if I would have done it on my own. I needed the push and a lot of assistance.
Those of you who have had an Etsy Shop and have any advice or suggestions I would love to hear from you.

I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday season and are enjoying the New Year...

  1. Connie, I've had an Etsy shop for awhile. I have a hard time keeping it stocked. I found it very easy to work with. Post on your blog frequently when you post new things to the shop. That was where my customers came from.

  4. Good for you, Connie. I see the fishies made it to Etsy, too!

I would also suggest the forums for any questions you have. You can search the forums and probably find someone has already asked and answered your questions.

I don't know if you do any photo editing, but I think your product photos are a bit yellow, which is normal when working with indoor lighting. Perhaps you could try to make those yellows a bit more white?

And as far as the sidebar on your blog, try this:
    1. Go to "Your Etsy"
    2. On the sidebar, under "Promote", go to "Etsy Mini"
    3. Mess with that until you find what looks good to you. Copy the code that appears at the bottom of the page.
    4. In your blogger dashboard, go to "Design"
5.In your sidebar, click "Add a Gadget"
    6. Scroll down and click "HTML/JavaScript"
    7. Add the code you copied into the box and you should be good.

I wish you much success with your shop!
