I know those of you who read my blog have seen this quilt but I thought it was a good one for the Blogger's quilt festival. Since it is the first bed size quilt I have ever made. I started this quilt because of a blog. Crazy Mom Quilts challenged her readers to make a nine patch a day and that is how this started. I had so much fun making these and even more fun putting it together.
This was the first quilt I had someone else quilt also. I did not feel confident that I could quilt a queen size quilt on my own. I am happily living with the quilt in my guest room. It makes me smile when I look at it and all the bright colors. I still have not painted the ugly wall but someday. Life just gets in the way.
What a good idea for a nine patch--charming quilt

ReplyDeleteWow Connie! It always surprises me how these very simple blocks (like 9-patches) make such stunning quilts. And the white contrasts so effectively with those scrappy patches. I love it! Amazing job!
